Krona - Domzale

The Krona hotel is located very close to the highway leading to Ljubljana and is just a few meters from a petrol station. The flags located outside immediately make it clear that you have arrived in a particular place. Inside, hanging on the walls there are dozens of photos in which Martin, the owner of the structure, is almost always posing as a star, in the midst of a multitude of people and personalities. There is a pleasant 80s air, especially for those who, like me, were teenagers in that historical period. At first glance, the service in the restaurant seems a little slow but after a while you realize that, having crossed the threshold of the entrance, you have entered a different dimension in which the phlegmatic and calm gesture has taken the place of the frenzy and generalized anxiety typical of our way of life. The breakfast is very rich and varied. On the last day of my stay, Martin, seeing that they had finished in the dining room, specially prepared his excellent scrambled eggs for me. From the point of view of hospitality we are probably facing the Top. Martin, in his boots and cowboy outfit, is a nice and well-mannered person. Before we left he wanted, as usual, to take a selfie with us. But the thing that struck me the most is that, like a great host, he waited outside the hotel for us to hit the road

Rooms a bit dated, but very well kept and clean. We stayed in the 4 bedroom with the children's beds suspended. Very kind and nice owner. Abundant breakfast, salty and sweet. Ideal location for travel and for visiting Ljubljana which is 15 minutes away by car. Good location also to get to Lake Bled, Postumia, Terme. All of Slovenia is beautiful.
