Best give it a miss and hold on to home.
Best thing here is an M&S which sells healthy lunch options. The rest of the places is quite unassuming the building itself is bereft of any character.
We stopped by this restaurant for a sandwich at lunchtime on our way to the Lake District. Unfortunately, there were no gluten-free options available at M&S, and the alternatives like rice noodle pots and chicken and rice pots all contained wheat or barley. None of the other restaurants had anything suitable either. It was very disappointing.
I recently visited this restaurant and had one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. The car park design was poor and it felt risky just trying to navigate to the service buildings. The men's toilets were messy and had a strong odor. I would not recommend visiting this restaurant.
Ferry bridge Services: Charging for parking? It's a service station not a tourist attraction. Rip off food, a motorway premium added to the prices, which WOULD be bearable if annoying, but charging for parking is scandalous. This is just gouging. The stinking filthy toilets didn't particularly add to the experience either.
