Captain Gummy's Fish Chips

Have a burger and chips with potato cake every Saturday for the last 4 years, every time I have them I have blown away! 10/10

Been here a few times. Generally quite OK. But recently the Flatheads and Blue Grenadier were rubbery and not so good flavouring. A bit below average.

First time we purchased our fish and chips from Captain Gummy’s, and definitely the last. Phoned order and was informed that my order would take 30 minutes. Understand that Friday evening is a peak time. Waited a further 30 minutes outside the shop due to part of my order not cooked at the same time as the other items. Finally collected my order after a total of one hour. At home discovered that the earlier cooked items were semi warm, with the chips tasting rubbery. Disappointing !!!!! I waited outside the shop as there were at least twenty customers inside. Definite breach of Covid rules for a shop this size. Only three people preparing the food were wearing masks. Again a breach of the current Covid regulations. The $37.00 spent on a poor example of fish and chips is a lesson well learnt.

I have been coming to this restaurant for years and I always enjoy their fresh fish and chips, as well as their friendly service. The prices are reasonable and the restaurant is always clean.

The delicious chicken, potato cakes, fries, and veggie burger were prepared quickly and there were generous portions. I will definitely be returning!
