Amazing restaurant! Highly recommended for families, dates or corporate outings
Had some amazing nights there and John Lee always made us feel at home
I can't believe I have not set foot in this place and it is only 5 minutes away!Everything from start to finish was packed full of flavour, fresh and had us wanting more. We ordered, aburi salmon, beef tataki, gyutan, spicy salmon roll and wafu steak (sizzling plate).Honestly loved everything from presentation, flavours, their sauce for aburi was a little sweeter and tangier than most we have tried, definitely savoured some on our plates and dipped other things into it. Definitely coming back!
The experience really depends on the Chef you get, as the Chef on the other side was a bit rough with his throws. It could be entertaining, but just be cautious and maybe don't wear a white shirt in case. The restaurant was quite noisy on the Saturday night we visited, as one of the three Teppanyaki tables had mostly young children who were entertained by the games. Teppanyaki is a communal activity, so be prepared to interact with others and enjoy the experience. If you're looking for a quiet meal with someone special, this might not be the best option. We opted for the signature banquet with eye fillet at $66 per person, and also got a bottle of sake. We used an entertainment book voucher and received a $45 discount on our bill, which is why I gave it 4 stars for value, although it would have been a 3.5 without the discount.
