The broth had a good flavor of burdock and the duck meat was tender and delicious. The broth was not too sweet, with just the right amount of saltiness. The tempura was also a great deal at 200 yen, and since it's the season for mountain vegetables, I enjoyed the fiddlehead ferns and bracken tempura. Personally, I prefer thinner soba noodles, so it wasn't exactly to my liking, but it was still delicious. Thank you for the meal.
This restaurant is a must-visit for wasabi lovers. The soba noodles have a great texture and are delicious, and the mountain vegetable tempura is not only cheap (200 yen) but also tasty! They are only open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, but it's worth making the trip. The parking lot around the store is narrow and probably only fits regular cars, so it's best to park wagons and other vehicles in the other parking lot below the store. There are 10 or more spots available.
A conveniently located soba restaurant. Open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Even on Fridays, customers were coming in one after another. The soba is firm. Is this a particular type that gives it that crunchy texture? In Yamagata, ramen is usually soft at any store, but for some reason, many soba shops cook their soba on the firmer side. The broth is rich and slightly sweet, with a hint of bonito flakes, and pairs well with the wasabi on top.
