We went because the Miami Herald ran a front page story on this restaurant. The food is excellent, we had egg drop soup and my husband won-ton soup, then we had the duck with all the trimmings and we also ordered shrimp in sweet and sour sauce, delicious. Others in our party ordered Egg foo young, and of course friend rice. The only thing that was amiss is we ordered a chardonnay and they did not have it, they only had pinot grigio, which we did no want, so we ordered merlot. All in all, a memorable Sunday lunch!
I have had better Chinese food from a gas station. Order was not right and taste was horrible. Dumplings fried instead of steamed, crab wontons cooked so hard I couldn’t eat and shrimp in lobster sauce tasted burnt. I ordered lo Mein instead of rice... their lo Mein is angel hair pasta. Had it delivered and driver nor restaurant staff spoke English so of course I had no one to complain to, although there was someone who spoke very broken English that took the order. Also didn’t include the drink I ordered. A 42 dollar lesson.
Can't go wrong with salt and pepper calamari! The batter was crispy, and their peppers gave it a bit of a kick.
We decided to try this restaurant based on the positive reviews we saw in the Miami Herald, but it was a total letdown. The sweet and sour chicken lacked both sweetness and sourness; it resembled McDonald's chicken nuggets. The egg drop soup was nearly impossible to drink. The service was also very lacking. Additionally, the restaurant is situated across from a hotel, and the staff had difficulty communicating in English, which made online ordering a challenge. I won't be returning!
I've dined here before, but my recent experience was disappointing. The Mongolian beef, which is their signature dish, was overly saturated with sauce and too sweet to enjoy. The Singapore noodles were drowned in curry sauce. Overall, it was a frustrating dining experience. To make matters worse, they added a credit card merchant fee to the bill that they passed on to customers. I would not recommend this place.
