We stopped by and enjoyed 4 tarts among the 4 of us. They were so delicious that we couldn't resist going back for 4 more after running around the property.
Firstly. The tarts are delicious. There a number of great flavours to choose from. The crust are unusually flaky, which is not my preference, but this does not detract from the overall flavour. These are really pricey. $2.25 Each or $12 for a half dozen. For some reason, I was charged $13 for a half dozen. I let is slide though. The staff was a bit on the grumpy side, maybe it was just a bad day for people interaction.I still recommend paying this place a visit.
Multiple varieties of butter tarts. We still like the plain & raisin ones best! Though the cranberry & chocolate chip are a close third and fourth. We've tried the coconut, coffee, chocolate chip, raspberry, blueberry, pecan, and cranberry. The blueberry & raspberry tarts tasted more like mini pies instead of the traditional butter tart. They only take cash or debit! The crust, however, has been only of the best we've tasted. Try adding a Portuguese Egg Tart to the menu... I think that would be great in your homemade crust!
Nice variety of butter tarts and all homemade. They are very sweet so I would recommend the fruit ones. The parking lot is small as well as the inside of the store. The only place to sit and eat the tarts on site is on the outside porch in chairs. If you are looking for an early morning treat, beware because they don't open until 10am. They only accept Canadian debit cards and Canadian cash so you want to make sure you have that available. I recommend buying the six pack because they come in a portable plastic container.
