My mom and I have been coming to Lido di Venezia every summer since I was 14. We've pretty much tried every hotel on the island and found that Belvedere is the best in regards to price and quality of service. The staff is very helpful and speaks English. The hotel is located right across the street from the water taxi stop where you arrive to the island. The hotel has elevators for easy access/bringing luggage upstairs, and the room we stayed in was recently remodeled and SO nice! It was a pleasant surprise. In terms of things to do nearby the hotel, you're literally in the main strip of Lido di Venezia. Santa Maria Elisabetta offers numerous cafes, restaurants, and gelato... and the hotel is about 10 minutes away from the beach! I highly recommend Belvedere for your trip to Venice. It truly is the best hotel on the strip.
