David's Catfish House - Dothan

I thought i had grits until tonight their cheesy grits are really good. I had the fish and grits and catfish was very tasty too Plenty of Gluten Free options

Let's start of by saying the waitress could improve lots. Waited terribly long for orders and refills. Catfish was okay. Heavily breaded. Fries good. Burger burnt on outside raw inside. Shrimp was good. Coleslaw was sweet tasting and not a thick slaw as I like. Cheesy grits were excellent according to spouse. Was 8 of us at table but 3 on one check 5 on other. Automatic tip of 20% which was terrible for the service we received. Place was half packed at the most. Will not return!! Little on the pricey side.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and was truly impressed. The cheese grits tasted just like my own – they were perfection! The coleslaw was equally flawless. We chose to go on a Thursday night due to their special offer: unlimited peel-and-eat shrimp. They serve five shrimp at a time, but our server was fantastic and did an excellent job managing our large table. The butter they provided was delicious, enhanced with seasoning. I also tried the crab dip, which was my favorite dish of the night. The fried crab claws and okra were both delightful as well. Our server made sure our glasses were always filled. The restaurant was very clean, including the restroom. I can confidently say we will be returning!

Wow! The food was fantastic, the ambiance was amazing, and the staff were incredibly friendly. We will definitely return! I can see why the billboard advertisements are effective!

The food was fantastic, especially the hush puppies served when you first arrive. They contain sweet potatoes and cinnamon sugar, making them taste more like doughnuts. The coleslaw was excellent as well; unlike most places where the slaw can be hit or miss, theirs is spot on. The fish tacos were quite tasty too. The only improvement I can suggest is to use the coleslaw that comes in the bowl on the tacos instead of the one already included. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, making sure our cups were always full.
