Sunset - Douglas County

Good drinks. Nice staff. A bit on the expensive side but what you'd expect on the lake. I had the Rum Runner. Pretty tasty. On the food side I had a cheeseburger and fries and it was really good. You get a good amount of fries and they are great!

We had some time to kill before boarding the ferry so decided to get some drinks and hang out here. Unfortunately we were severely disappointed. At the time, you could only purchase drinks with vouchers, the minimum quantity being 8 for $20, I believe. $20 got us 1 mixed drink that was overly sweet, 1 cup of beer, and 1 bottle of water. They were not able to sell us one additional drink without spending another $20 for 8 vouchers, so we settled with what we originally had.

Small little bar... not the greatest but definitely not bad. Service was quick but there weren 't many people there anyhow. We are staying in Zephyr Cove with family so wanted to get a drink close by after dinner. Will probably be back because of the location to our cabin but not for much else since it was just.. meh. My drink was made well which is why I gave three stars but they didn 't have my boyfriends go to beer at the moment... I think in the summertime when it 's a bit more live and they open the side bar we will try again and update my review. Until then I 'll go for the drinks not to hangout ... I guess drinks are what a bars all about anyways right? Lol :

Third, they require you to order the meal deal, which comes with chips and a drink; there's no option to order just an entrée a la carte. Additionally, despite the high prices, all three of our meals were incorrect. I ordered a burger and they forgot the pickle. It wasn't a big deal, so I went to ask for one. Meanwhile, my friend's chicken strips arrived cold, along with her fries. When she asked to have them reheated, the staff merely threw them in the fryer, resulting in an overly crispy texture. My other friend also ordered a burger and received cold fries and no pickle. It’s worth noting that there was no line; we were the only customers, so there’s no justification for the cold food. Finally, the chicken strips tasted like cheap, frozen food, and we ended up throwing away half of what we ordered. I would give this place two stars instead of one only because the burgers were a decent size and the convenience of being on the beach. We almost left to eat somewhere else but decided to give Zephyr a chance. I definitely recommend looking for a different restaurant.

I am very impressed with this new restaurant! The food and drinks are absolutely fantastic.
