Largo Resto - Douvaine

Poor quality and services to my humble experience, i would not recommend to spend time there. The room also has a poor decoration despite a nice view and location

We have benn to this place more than once since it is very close to where we live. Every time we went it was ok but nothing special. We had decided to go again and we had the carte gourmande. We called to ask if we could reserve a table that evening and that we had the carte gourmande. We were told it was no problem. When we arrived we noticed that they had music that evening. It was quite crowded and we were happy to have called in advance. We sat down and the waiter came and took our order. At the same time we said again that we had the carte gourmande and he said "no problem, we will take that later when we prepare the bill." We ordered. The entree arrived before our apperitif! Then we waited a very long time for more bread for our entree. The service was very slow. After eating we decided it was time to go and asked for the bill. The waiter returned to our table to tell us that they did not accept the carte gourmande that evening because of the music. We told the owner that we had called and reserved in advance and when we arrived we also mentioned the book. The owner was not very friendly and in the end he didnt even want that we pay anything. We left after leaving a tip very unsatisfied knowing that that was the last time we would go here. Having had my own Restaurant, I know that this is not the right was to handle customers. We didnt want to have anything that wasnt correct but than dont accept a reservation with the book if you dont want it. And if you have other persons who take the reservations, you need to make sure they know what is accepted and what not. The service that evening was not good. It was very long and not very organized.

Rather nice burgersla croute with original cheese and goodla room is a little cool in winter.

Finally, a place that welcomes families and does nice food! The menu is basically home made burgers, crepes,salads and mussels, all nicely cooked. The childrens portions are big and good value. There is a little play area which really helps. Prices are good, the staff are welcoming and even brought the child menu first so they could eat before getting bored. We felt relaxed and welcome. Ther is also a nice terrace for when it is warm. I really hope this place does well as they are so friendly.

We have been here twice to eat. The first time was not so good because the meat I ordered was very hard and after I had told him that it was too hard to eat he said that they were having problems with the meat that day and that other clients had said that too. What I dont understand is why they continued to serve the meat if they knew it wasnt going to be good. Anyway he didnt charge me for the dinner which was a nice gesture. Also they didnt tell us about the offer of the day so we ordered from the menu only to notice afterwards that there was something else we could have ordered. The second time we went it was much better and we will go back again. Atmosphere is very relaxed and sometimes a bit loud because of the high ceiling. The service is good.
