Feedback gevenWe loved this place!! There are some great construction going on if you don't pay attention, you can pass this jewel directly. It is very child-friendly, staff were friendly and helpful. The food comes to the train tracks, which is a pretty cool feature. And the food was great. Nice and hot and fresh. I totally exceeded my expectations and I (nor my son) was disappointed. Recommend the kids. We're going to visit again.
A prefect place to go with my grandchildren! The train theme throughout the restaurant is so creative and fun. I think they focus more on children, but they also have a wide selection of meals for adults! I chose a chicken sandwich with a mango salsa. Oh, it was good! It's fun to sit at the counter and deliver our food to the train cars! There were several birthdays with cupcakes and/or ice cream delivered by the train and the song game. Fun!!!
For years. I'm local and I'll probably go there as long as I can. They have simple and very tasty deserts. A creative diner menu. This place is definitely for children, but with parents in the eye. Train them naturally with several model trains (also one near the front for the children to use) and tons of train float everywhere. The good- the diner menu is great, the staff is fast, friendly and really appreciate the environment they have created. Small children will have a few inexpensive games to play or even see Thomas the train on the TV. Some children simply enjoy watching how the food is delivered by train and that is fascinating enough. I never waited too long for food or seating. Nothing. If I have to be absolutely objective when you go during the main hours, you have to wait a bit for the seat, but again I have never waited more than a few minutes. The truth... I go regularly and indefinitely there. I even went with my mother and no children there, the food is just so good for me. do not expect gourmet, but you will be satisfied and it will not break the bank either. 5 stars every day.
I'm here twice with my nieces and now my own child. You really found out the bar-style seating with kids, it's very clever for me. The bar stools break when they replace it with a high chair or a chair with a back. My nieces love this place (my baby is too young to recognize the difference). It's like a minicarnival for her. The salads here are shocking not bad (smart in their name too). Also... To have power Mac n cheese, my nies favorite, on the menu.... Well played. As a side note, I moved from Roscoe village and was thrilled to see Riverview's mini train park!
Totally a nice place with a friendly young waitress who was nice to the kids. A couple of games, a train that brings food, and a lot of train stuff. Even a diorama where kids can press buttons to start up train stuff with lights and make things go. Had a Crisco chicken melt that was phenomenal. I expected kitchy stuff but was surprised that the food was actually really good.
