So so good. Definitely will return! Eggs Bene are fire! Spicy ****** Marys are super delicious. Pizza is good too!
This is a great place to go for brunch if you like to sip on water and listen to an amazing live performance. The best part of this cute spot is, the location and the live entertainer.
Went there for a little snack and a beer after a trail run nearby. Great service from Penelope! The ceviche was absolutely delicious and the scenery is beautiful up there!
We want the old Ridge back! We arrived without a reservation but pleased to be promptly seated outside. However, that was the end of our pleasant evening. Once our server stopped by I showed her our $50 gift card but was told it wouldn’t be honored because it was for The Ridge, not Royal on The Ridge. When I asked to speak to the manager because….come on….it’s fifty bucks I was told she won’t come, won’t honor it and has told her staff they are not to accept them. When I inquired why, our server said new owners and new chef. When I explained we didn’t know that and showed obvious disappointment she said “yeah…same family though.” Sooo wait a minute, new owner is related to the prior owner and you still won’t honor $50 my brother paid to your family member when he bought us this gift? And then I find out on here father sold to daughter and it was still not accepted?!! Despite the sign outside saying The Ridge just like our gift card?! Super shady and poor, poor customer service! We stayed anyway because my 94 year old father wanted a steak. When we inquired about the difference in preparation for the ribeye and the New York, our server said she had to go ask. When we asked how many ounces our server had to go ask about that too. When I inquired why the staff are not informed each night about their menu she said they aren’t known for their steaks and hardly ever serve them. But they’re known for their pasta pizza because of their wood fired oven. This I knew and was excited to get the Marguerita pizza I’ve loved in the past. But sadly, my pizza was a huge disappointment and I couldn’t even finish one slice. It tasted nothing like the past, nothing like a wood fired pizza and arrived perfectly round, flat, undercooked and tasteless. Resembling a frozen pizza from a grocery store but not even tasting as good. After requesting utensils 3 times I was able to dig into the beet and burrata salad but it too was disappointing. Very heavy on the arugula, which I love, but light on the beets, walnuts and cheese and had the most bitter bleu cheese dressing I’ve ever tasted. We ordered 2 ribeyes but they arrived with the opposite preparation request. And one of them was half fat and gristle. Although the au gratin potatoes were raw and cool on the inside the mashed potatoes tasted amazing and my brother loved the lasagna. We were never offered dessert so we can’t review them and upon leaving we all agreed there wasn’t enough to return for. Which is a huge bummer because The Ridge used to be such a fun place to dine. Especially in the summer.
