Altmarktkeller - Dresden

We visited on a Saturday evening, in October. The service was poor we weren't served at our table for a while. We ordered the Octoberfest special and only got our food over one hour later at which point we had to get takeaway instead as...we had to catch a bus later that evening. I wouldn't recommend this place if you only have one hour to eat.

Well... what a disappointing visit. Good location on the altmarktpkaz. Nice big space in the cellar. And thus is all good news. Ambience is post-Soviet DDR style. Definitely need lot of work to make it feel friendly. Now food is disappointing. My knuckle was dry...overdone. Other dishes also below expectations. Waiting time was also dramatically long. It is better to go out of altmarktpkaz for a good restaurant.

Very good restaurant in the centre of Dresden. We wanted to try a typical restaurant from the area, we tried some dishes and we were satisfied for the quality. Location very silent with a good view on the square in front of it, the people...working there are friendly.

Located one level below ground this place is a large, atmospheric cellar. The food was great with large portions. The service was friendly and efficient. I had an excellent lunch.
