Karl May Bar - Dresden

I visit Dresden on a more or less regular basis for private or business occasions. It turned out to be never a wrong decision to visit this wonderful bar. It offers a cozy interior design with seats surrounded by soaring life as well as some seats that are off the main room where you can sit and talk more intimately and still enjoy the attentive, swift service. The drinks are fantastic. I never could tell a difference in between different visits when I ordered the same drinks. With one exception one time, there was a little bit less of the delicious tailed pepper in my Richard then two days before. As you see, that's nothing to even talk about, but it was the biggest disappointment I ever had in this exceptionally great bar. There's maybe one tiny trap you should avoid: The bar has a very broad menu, but you are offered one sheet with drinks because of these pandemic times. This sheet has a QR code. Scan it with your smartphone and you'll see the whole wide variety of drinks to choose from. Visit Karl May Bar! It's worth both the time and the cash :

We were a party of four sans dinner reservations for the evening and were in search of a quality dining venue. We were hopeful the Hotel Taschenbergerpalais might be able to accommodate us. By happenstance we ran into the hotel's manager, Stephan Becker, who was most helpful. He attempted to get us seated in the main dining venue but they were fully booked so he escorted us to the Karl May and made sure we were seated immediately. He indicated they could order off the main dining room's menu if we couldn't find something to our liking on the bar menu. Given several in our party's discerning (read demanding) tastes, we did order from the main menu. The coq au vin was incredibly tasty while the veal dish was equally as good. Two of us had one of the local favorites--curry wurst and frites. The local weissewine was the perfect accompaniment. The ambiance in the bar was very engaging with its rich dark woods and southwestern artifacts. Service was friendly, personable, helpful but a little slow given we were not ordering off the bar menu. Not an issue as we were in no hurry. Our evening was thoroughly enjoyable from the tasty cuisine, the warmth and joy of the season and the quality of the venue. Want to say thanks to Stephan for making our evening not only possible but special!

Great and vast cocktail selection as well as numerous other liquors, pricey but fabulous. Cozy and dark like a bar ought to be ; Done with an ode to the writer of old westerns.

A rainy Wednesday evening was great for testing the most pleasant and highly professional bar teams. we were not disappointed at any time, the circumvent with the guests, the gediegenic ambiente and the selection of exquisite delights read no wish open. they are the subtleties that make an old cuban - french 75 - gin and tonic here adult, unobtrusive and enjoyable. a warm compliment.

Classic bar experience from the finest! that there is something like that is a real joy. dark wood and noble leather covers surrounded by a lot (partially quite kitschiger) of objects on the romane and the life of Karl-May.The personal and above all the bar-tenders live their profession and give this place virtually the "I-tüpfelchen" to perfection.The selection and quality of the offered products is sufficient, then surprise no more, makes the gast but so around
