We expected the kind of sausage we got at the hofbrau in münchen. all HB floculations along with the table markings along the walk have deceived us. the art of this part of Germany differs from what is found in bayern. we should have known that it is our fault that our expectations are not fulfilled. for those who enjoy this type of sausage, I am sure that a visit prices more than stars.
We went around on a normal Thursday night and the place was crowded, that must be good! and long story short: it was! it looks like we were sitting in a small living room. the owner asked us when we sit down...if we have a problem with a longer waiting period, because one of the chefs was sick and it could take an hour before we have our diner. no problem, we replaided and started with a delicious bee from a little bit. After a few minutes we had our pork medaillons with fresh mushrooms and cream and baked cartomas on the side. my wife had the scavenger and said after a bite: best she had! everything was fresh, warm and super! one must be for everyone! next time it goes again!
This restaurant is stunning to go, they would think that there is a really posh, expensive places archways and bright white walls show paintings, the furniture is beautifully carved wood and the tables were beautifully dressed with fresh flowers. it was calm when we were. there was because it was early for an evening meal (sometimes the service was fast. our waitress did not speak English, but that was not a problem, she was very pleasant. eating was just delicious, I had the fish plate and my man ordered a chicken dish. it was for everyone around euro, but they were the most expensive items on the menu, most of the dishes seemed to be euro. I thought it would be an excellent value for money and a very pleasant experience.
Although it may not be haute cuisine, it is always interesting to sample the local cuisine, and Kugenhaus offers loads of local specialities of Saxony, authentic and old-fashioned.
