We tried some usual favorites: Bread Basket, with garlic naan, paneer kulcha, onion kulcha and pashwari naan (sweet). Still eating this a few days later. Chicken Saag Chicken pieces in creamy spinach. Delicious, we had it mild. Palak paneer Cheese cubes in creamy spinach. Also ordered mild. Service was quick and they called me when ready to pick up. No dine in service yet, just take out. Convenient to PNC Bank if you're looking for it in Drexeline Shopping Center.
I came with a big group of friends for someone's birthday a while ago and we all got the lunch buffet. I was worried my options would be limited here because I'm lactose sensitive, but I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of the menu options without dairy and it was definitely a good value. I'm so glad our friends introduced us to this place, because I don't eat Indian food often and I rarely go to buffets...but I'll definitely be back now that this is on my radar!
Was dreading working the weekend shift til i remembered that I'd be near this little restaurant for the lunch buffet. Clean location with a small buffet, which is packed with flavors that I rarely find in Indian buffets. The other customers were all loving the food, as I could hear most conversations in the small/medium dining room. The waiter didn't say any words at all, even when I paid the check and signed the receipt, but overall, I was just there to serve myself. First, didn't know they had free naan! Super fluffy and buttery, great for dipping and wiping. The vegetarian options were all great, from okra to peas to breaded veggie balls to a red chana that Id never seen. There were 3 types of orange sauce, and none of them tasted the same. The tikka was sweet and creamy, and the other two were super savory with less tomato in them. The goat curry was super impressive, with big pieces of meat and a sauce that was the spiciest thing on the buffet. The samosas are round, which is different, and the pakora is fried spinach and super crispy and flavorful. After two plates, I was full but there were still a few things to try, so don't let the size fool you! Overall, hope to be placed back in the area again to catch the daily lunch buffet. So worth it! Compared to Philly buffets, this one has a smaller, less involved atmosphere, but the food doesn't suffer and the flavors are much more apparent.
One of my favorite Indian spots near me. They offer lunch buffets and menu ed dinners. I've been to both. If you're not quite sure what to get or this is your first time doing Indian, I really do recommend the buffet. This way, you can get a sample of different dishes and then decide what you like and don't like. From there, you can ask the server for recommendations based on the ones you tried. A few of my favorite dishes include wings appetizer, chicken masala, goat curry, and the garlic naan. Wings has a slight kick but so delicious! It comes out sizzling on a plate. Masala this sauce is so creamy and delicious. My husband and I love it spicy, but because the kids love it too, we have to now get it mild for them Goat curry sometimes a bit too boney and I have had it when it was a bit too tough (not cooked till fall off the bone), but the flavoring is great. I'm not even sure how to describe this one. Garlic Naan omg, i could eat a full order to myself. So garlicky and delicious. The naan is nice hot and crispy yet still soft I can't come here too often (cream messes with me), but I do enjoy it whenever I can.
I love this place! The food is great, the environment is wonderfully relaxing with light music and all of the experience in a cultured space. I like to have mango juice and one of so many various dishes (you can ask them how spicy or not spicy you want it to be and there is a scale spelled out on your menu . Show up early and they have lunch which is an all you can eat buffet. Come later and they have different dishes available, I am sure all are delicious! They have so much and one type of naan I can't remember the name of it but it's like a dessert on its own. It has golden raisins in it. So tasty! The food choices all tell you what is in it but it's all enjoyable. I miss going out there with friends but I hope to get to go there again. It's worth the trip! They also do carry-out. Only slight downside was finding out this place is a chain so the food might not be as authentic as it claims but it's worth a look-out. Are you a self-proclaimed foodie? Whether you come alone or with a group, if you want to eat here or come in and pick it up, it's all worth it! (Note: This review was copy pasted onto here. It was removed from the other one only because I had put it on the wrong location.
