Review: I recently had the pleasure of visiting this cafe during my extended stay in Oslo, and I must say, it made my day trip absolutely unforgettable. I wholeheartedly give it a perfect 5 star rating because everything about it exceeded my expectations. Firstly, the cafe boasts a beautiful deck for outdoor dining, allowing guests to soak in the breathtaking views of the surroundings. The ambiance was simply delightful, adding to the overall charm of the experience. Additionally, the cafe had Wi Fi, which was a great convenience for staying connected during my visit. The convenience of a QR code for the menu was a nice touch. It made browsing through the options effortless, and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of choices available for pizza. The pizza I ordered arrived promptly and was incredibly fresh. The flavors were fantastic, and I couldn't resist devouring the entire pizza by myself (yes, I'm a big boy! . I left the cafe feeling extremely satisfied and ready for my next adventure. Speaking of adventures, the cafe's location on this picturesque island is what truly sets it apart. Having explored numerous islands in the fjords during my many summer holidays since 2011, I can confidently say that this one has stolen my heart. The island seamlessly blends cozy natural beauty with a fascinating history that intertwines with the sea. The atmosphere was just perfect, and it's undoubtedly a family friendly destination. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for an exceptional experience in and around Oslo. It's a solid 10 out of 10, and I'm already planning my next visit. Every dish that we tried was really tasty: Italian pizza, chevre salat, rekkebrød and the fish soup. The only thing that one should be aware is a long waiting time during lunch time.

Service was horrible, nonexistent to be honest. We came in, the servers barely noticed us even though there were at least two of them. No menu offered, nothing. We had to order using their QR code, after that they finally decided to pay us some attention. We got one pizza and for the price it was not that good. Quatro formaggi had like 2 cheeses at best. Where is the rest? Coffee was mediocre, no sugar or milk offered. Not worth spending your money there unless you are stuck on this island as we were.

Nice cafeteria at Oscarsborg fortress. Menu consists of pasta dishes, burgers, fish, pizza and more. Several types of drinks, including beer and sodas. Nice food, but not all that cheap.

We had a bad experience with rude staff, fortunately the young ladies there were absolutely wonderful and much easier to talk to.
