I've visited Brandy Creek a number of times and it's reliably fantastic.
Was a little disappointed with the Brandy Creek Restaurant when we dined there. The location is beautiful, with fantastic views, but the Service and atmosphere were lacking unfortunately. To accompany the the Paella menu at lunch, they have musicians playing Spanish style music, complete with Dancing and castanets, but it is just too loud in some parts of the Restaurant and makes conversation among patrons difficult. We dined on the Tapas menu and ordered four dishes; The first arrived at our table after 15-20 minutes and we didn't see the other Three until almost 20 minutes later. Equally drink service was very slow, to the point that we were ordering 2-3 drinks at a time for each Diner to avoid the long wait times. The staff serving us were very apologetic about the long wait and it was such a pity as we were so looking forward to the dining experience, and left somewhat disappointed.
Some shared tasty tapas, a glass of excellent pinot noir and a beautiful view combined to make for a lovely lunch. The artwork by the ultra-talented Craig Fison, created something a bit different and interesting. Our waitress Meg, was very welcoming and made us feel quite special and her sage advice on the food selection was much appreciated. I've been looking for a nice/heavenly place high on a hill to take guests to and now I've found it!
Wow! This is a fabulous venue. Recent renovations have made this place spectacular. Every feature of the restaurant has been so carefully thought through. (For example on the hall leading to toilets and changing room, there was a mirror which gave you a slimmed appearance,) A new extended patio will soon be open to making this an even better venue. We were disappointed that we could get neither the dinner menu nor speciality items (Paella, Yello/Red Card Tapas or Churrasco, as listed online. So, all that was being served was the Lunch Tapas.Be sure to make reservations by phone to have your options clear. So, with a few drinks, we had an extensive meal for a very reasonable $60.00 per person sharing each dish.50 % of the dishes were excellent 25% very good and a disappointing 25 % were below that. Avoid the Meatballs, Seafood Pasties and Duck. Go with the Soft Shell Crab, Calamari and Fried Cheese. Stuffed Mushrooms were okay, but I should have gone for the Button Mushrooms. For drinks, there was a very small beer list and a selection of wines made from the vineyards harvest that surround the facilities. My friend was so impressed that she bought a bottle of the summer wine sort of drink. The service was a bit over the top as our drinks were whisked away before we had actually finished. But overall, a superior standard.Excellent toilet and rooms for disabled, young and the like.around the facility. Some Disabled parking spots near the entry. A dedicated parking area is a short walk. All told, I highly recommend the dining experience.
