We planned on having a drink then heading straight back to Calgary. We loved it so much we stayed for dinner. The team couldn't have been friendlier. Even the local man who was there when arrived was chatty. The pub was warm, our food was delicious and we were just made to feel so welcome. We enjoyed the quirkiness of the pub, reading about its history and looking at all the items of history in the walls. I highly recommend The Last Chance Saloon.
Drove from Red Deer to play golf at Dinosaur Trail and remembered I've always wanted to stop at this place. It certainly did not let us down. Service was great, and food even better. Can't forget the ice cold beer after 18 holes. Will definitely be back and highly recommend..
On behalf of Gasoline Alley Harley-Davidson: You guys were amazing hosts! Your establishment is a gem in our riding community and we recommend that everyone try to make their way down there at some point. Beautiful riding, great food and awesome people! Have to give you both props, you were so on top of everything amidst all the chaos of dealing with flooding and a mandatory evacuation. You your community worked so hard to ensure everything was ready and safe for our arrival. Having 160 bikes show up at once may have been overwhelming for most but you were prepared with extra staff, tons of food and even a band for us to enjoy. THANK YOU CONGRATS on a job well done! We look forward to returning soon. :
Have been here a few times, and it never fails to impress. Great food, great staff, great atmosphere.
This was a Gem in the Badlands of Alberta. After a long day of chasing dinosaurs and amazing scenery we followed the recommendation of our hotel and kept the beautiful drive out to Wayne (across the 11 bridges till the end of the day. It didn't disappoint. When our Aussie family walked into the Saloon we were greeted by everyone, patrons and Paula behind the bar. It was a fun evening of pool, shuffleboard, cook your own steaks, exploring the eclectic vintage decor around the bar (the kids loved the corner of the old post office , reading about the history and chatting to the staff. This was definitely a highlight of our trip and if (when! we come back, I will be sure to book a room at the Saloon! That was the only thing we wished we planned better we would have totally booked to stay at the Saloon so we could have a few more drinks. But the upside was that the drive back to Drumheller was just as beautiful in the moonlight!
