Esther's - Drummond Island

Best Mexican restaurant in the UP! Esther is fantastic! We tried the taco special, and everything was absolutely delicious—truly unmatched. Later, we took home a couple of pints and some salsa. The decor is lovely, and the staff is really friendly. We will definitely be returning!

Food was good, they do put alot of onions in their dishes. The place is really cute outside, colorful, and the little signs were really funny.

This is some of the finest Mexican food you can find anywhere in Michigan, and their fish tacos are simply out of this world. Seriously, this place is a hidden treasure, and Esther is equally wonderful. The atmosphere is charming and quirky, creating a delightful dining experience. The staff is consistently friendly, and they're impressively tech-savvy, offering Starlink WiFi and the ability to check out using Toast and ApplePay. It’s amazing to see such modern conveniences in a restaurant located on an isolated island! If I didn’t already have a place on Drummond Island, I would gladly drive all the way from Detroit just to eat at Esther’s.

I visited for the first time and it was excellent! The food was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and served piping hot. The seasoning was just right. Often, when you order a burrito with queso sauce, the sauce can be cold, but that was not the case here.

Always amazing!! First place to stop once on Drummond Island. Food is so fresh, salsa is amazing, and service is always hands down the best! Absolutely love this place!! Thanks for always being the best!!
