Briar Creek Golf Course - Duanesburg

The course is well-kept, and the food at the 19th hole is outstanding. However, we did encounter an issue with a couple of disgruntled players behind us. They called the clubhouse to complain that we were slowing down the pace of play because we weren't hitting into the group in front of us. Normally, this wouldn’t have been an issue, but we had been told to keep our pace, even after the ranger confirmed that it was fine for us to wait and that we shouldn't hit into the group ahead. Unfortunately, there was no apology for the misunderstanding.

The service here is consistently outstanding, and the appetizers, entrees, and pizzas are incredibly delicious.

The course was in excellent condition, and with only a few golfers around, it made for a swift game. Just make sure to bring cash, as they don’t accept credit cards.

The bartender was very unfriendly, and very slow to wait on all her guest sitting at the bar. I’ll be back to golf but not for appetizers at bar!

The course was good to walk. I was definitely a littlw winded at points. Took me 2 hours and 45 mins playing alone. Not a super busy day. Very dry, but it hasn't rained all summer. Cash only but they have an atm.
