Feedback gevenI am vegan, and I was initially unsure if this restaurant would meet my needs, but I was pleasantly surprised. They offered plenty of vegetables, and the noodles are Hokkien. The spring rolls are also vegan-friendly. The only potential issue for some diners is that all the food is cooked on the same hot plate. However, I didn't mind this at all, as the cook cleaned it between dishes. Since I don't eat meat, I had no concerns. The staff was lovely, and the prices were very reasonable. You could say the place is a bit dated, but that didn't bother us.
The restaurant Thia is a decent choice. I gave it three stars mainly because of the chef, the fresh ingredients, and the value for money at this price point. However, the restaurant could use some improvement. While it is clean, it doesn't give off a clean vibe. The owners are very polite and attentive, but they often retreat behind the counter, engrossed in their newspaper or busy on their phones. This means you often have to call for their attention. They also don't write down orders, which can lead to forgotten items if you request multiple things. This might be more apparent when I visit for a late lunch when the restaurant is nearly empty and the staff are unwinding after the lunchtime rush. That said, the service, food, and chefs are genuinely good overall.
I absolutely love this place! The food is delicious, and the staff is incredibly friendly. One of my favorite aspects is the self-serving option to create my own Mongolian bowl— I can choose exactly what I want and how much. It’s fantastic! Plus, I can do my laundry right next door while I enjoy my meal, which is a great way to multitask!
I'm working nearby, the place isn't out. You go in, take a table and serve yourself. Price is cheap. I like the food. If you are looking for Upscale and waiter to come to you, this place is not for you. The staff is friendly. Not rude. You stop by and check at least once. Also very friendly to pack my remains to go back to work.
First, you select ingredients from variety of choices and put in a bowl with sauce, and they cook it for you with a big pan. You need to carefully adjust the amount of the sauce to avoid it become too salty and if it is successful, the taste is good. Side menus, fried rice and fried chicken, are also nice. My favorite.
