Express family restaurant at Dubbo Railway bowling club

Been here before, seems to have changed managment and the food not as good. But still ok to dine in. Took my time and enjoyed the food. At times i thought the food was tough, too long in the warmer. Don't go when quiet, get some turnover first. But still good for the price and surroundings.

Two weeks on the road holidaying throughout NSW and Queensland and we thought we would try the buffet at the Sporties Club in Dubbo . It wasn't our best decision whilst we were away . The barman was too busy on his iPhone and eating in the back office to offer any friendly service and when he finally did serve us and did actually say something it was as though he was under pressure to say something . The food in the buffet was only reasonable but wasn't something we would go back for . The one redeeming feature was the lady who took our money for the buffet who was smiling and very friendly.

We had a family dinner in the restaurant the lady who was the cashier was lovely and friendly.The food in the buffet was tasty and fresh with plenty of variety.We had a 7:30 sitting for 15 people and arrived on time. We had a lovely catch up but everything went downhill at around 8:30pm. My cousin was still grazing on food when a lady came out of the kitchen yelling at the top of her lungs " get out,time to go" repeatedly,she started turning all the lights off and then came over and snatched the plate from in front of my cousin.I had an elderly aunt and a cousin who needs assistance walking with us so getting out took a few minutes,all this time the same woman was still yelling to " get out".Not a very good impression for the restaurant.Very disappointed

If you value quantity over quality then this place may appeal to you. For everyone else, save your money and go elsewhere. Some dishes were OK, but there were many that were below average.

After visiting this Club many times on the way through to either Brisbane or Melbourne, on the last visit found the the quality of the food had not been as good as previous, Have decided not to visit again.
