Tilly's Restaurant and Bar - Dubbo

We visited the restaurant whilst staying at the motel. Lovely atmosphere, excellent service and quality food.We had chilli prawns, oysters kilpatrick, pork belly and lamb rump.The meals were exceptional and very generous serves. Highly recommend.

On a leisurely trip to visit family in Wagga Wagga, we didn't book until the afternoon of our stay. Matilda Motor Inn's Adrian apologised that there was only one room left. An upstairs executive room, but at the right price. We also booked the last table in Tilly's Restaurant and Bar for diner. What a lovely experience! The restaurant & motel entrance adjoin & share staff. Adrian, previously mentioned, was one of our waiters also. The whole enterprise is warm in temperature but as importantly, warm in hospitality. The service was excellent, the carpeted dining room was quiet in spite of assorted lively children, soft unobtrusive music was no hindrance to pleasant conversation and the food was superb. The roast of the day was excellent value, being wonderfully prepared and presented in a quantity to satisfy any hungry traveller. Some restaurants place minuscule amounts of food on enormous highly decorated plates. After eating this tiny amount of food and the artistic decorations, diners feel inclined to go down the road to a fast food joint to satisfy their remaining hunger with virtual food. Not so at Tilly's. We'll be back.

Great restaurant located in the Matilda Inn at Dubbo. We were not staying at the Matilda Inn but were still able to attend the restaurant. Menu was large and the food was great. Restaurant decorated nicely and looked a little bit more upmarket. Went for dinner mid week and the restaurant was very busy (best to book). Excellent service from staff. Could not fault this restaurant. What a great find.

Would really recommend this restaurant attached to the motel, great service, good value means, very obliging to arrange a lamb kids meal for our child, would definitely recommend wherever you stay in Dubbo

I was disappointed with the food here as it turned out be more "pub grub" than restaurant. All the meals had exactly the same vegetables and mashed potato just alongside whatever main you chose. The bread was amazing - fresh and tasty.It looks like a nice little restaurant and the service was great, but it really is just a restaurant attached to a motel with meals being sent out for room-service.Also very disappointed with the options for wines and beers - nothing local and all in 1 serve bottles rather than a wine bottle.
