My wife and I recently dined at Cafe Bia and were very impressed with the excellent service and delicious food. The quality of the meals and service exceeded our expectations. We stayed in Clogherhead for three nights and had breakfast there every morning, as well as lunch twice. We also visited with friends in 2011 and were happy to see that the standard has been maintained. The service and cleanliness were impeccable, and the food was outstanding. We highly recommend trying the hamburgers, as they are some of the best we've ever had. - Alan Joy from Australia
We had breakfast here and it was one of the best meals we had while in dublin. the baked goods were fresh, the coffee was perfect and the cooked breakfasts were good sizes and diverse. Highly recommend. Nice decor
We visited the restaurant twice to confirm our initial bad experience. The establishment has no atmosphere, with random wall decorations and an open kitchen where a chef with a large black beard was working. The place was not very clean, with dirty ventilation vents in the ladies' bathroom and a filthy glass table covered in crumbs and fingerprints. The waitress seemed indifferent and left menus on top of the crumbs. I ordered French toast with fries and tea, which were decent, but the bacon tasted strange. The fries were half raw and cold, while a nearby table received delicious brown fries. My fiancee's burger was satisfactory, with a nice sauce, but a neighboring table received a side salad with their burger. There were no sugar or milk on the table, and only one wooden stick for coffee instead of spoons. The waitresses appeared confused and our second visit was a mistake. Overall, it is not worth eating at this restaurant.
We visited this cafe on a weekday late afternoon. It looked small from the outside but not when we entered. There are tables and couches so quite a relaxed atmosphere. The service was excellent and the staff are very friendly. The menu has a good variety. I had a voucher and we both ordered the homemade vegetable lasagne with garlic bread. I was surprised as it was definitely home made and delicious with lots of vegetables. I recommend this cafe and will visit regularly especially to try the crepes which looked fantastic.
