Feedback gevenGlas is a terrific restaurant with a beautiful menu of vegan and vegetarian dishes. The semifreddo starter was amazing, and we loved our mains (bbq celeriac is hearty, roast beets subtle but tasty). Staff are lovely and know the menu well. It's a bit expensive, but well worth it.
The food was good but we felt that it was rushed. I tried asking for 5 extra minutes to look at mains menu and wasn't given such opportunity as we were told we are overthinking this and ended up asking for recommendations. We were there for an occasion and it felt a bit disingenuous that we were asked to basically pay the bill as another guests are coming after an hour of ordering. It felt like it's either you order something or get out attitude. Given the fact that it's not exactly a cheap place to dine, attention to customer service should be of a higher standard where customers are valued more than just people who pay.
From the moment we arrived the staff were excellent, greeted at the door and had our jackets taken. The restaurant is very tranquil and calm and beautifully decorated. We had the 3 course menu. The staff explained every dish to us which really added to the experience and every bite was delicious, could have eaten it twice. We really enjoyed our evening here and will definitely be back.
Really nice to have a fine-dining option as a vegan. All 3 courses were delicious. The cocktails were great. The staff were attentive. The atmosphere was relaxed but elevated. We will definitely come back on another trip.
Beautiful place, beautiful decor, friendly staff.. but food was nothing special, have eaten in Cafe Paradiso (Cork) before, amazing experience, this came no where close, also really expensive €42 for 2 courses! Seemed the only option, though I didn’t ask. Walked by nearby restaurant on Stephens Green €40 for 2 courses. Surely cost of vegetables is significantly lower than meat, poultry.
