The staff at the front desk are friendly, but should have private conversations in a more discreet area. The room had a mix of new and old elements, which created an awkward atmosphere. On the positive side, the bed and towels were clean and comfortable, with daily servicing. The location has good connections to the city, with Luas and bus stops less than a 10-minute walk away. There is also ample, free parking and minimal noise from the nearby highway intersection. However, there are several maintenance issues that need attention. Towel hangers are loose, bathroom ventilation is inadequate, the shower curtain needs replacing, and the bathroom walls and carpeting require renovation. The walls are painted with Latex paint, which hinders ventilation and gives a shiny appearance. The lack of a water boiler and dim lighting add to the unfavorable conditions. Overall, the price is too high for the quality of the accommodations.
The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere, although having a fan in the room would have been beneficial (which I later discovered was available upon request). While having a microwave and fridge would have been a nice touch, I was able to make do without them. I found the breakfast buffet to be delightful and the service was exceptional. The location next to the Tram was very convenient. Both the breakfast buffet and the à la carte menu offered scrumptious dishes.
The place was good for a night. large room. clean and comfortable. the breakfast was not rated. most of them were cold. 04/05/2022: had two nights here. still ok. nothing special. not much option for an evening meal and breakfast not so great yet.
We stayed here a few times in the last 10 or 12 years. it has changed the brand a few times; now it is a ibis (accor group.) it is well located on the outskirts of dublin and with luas five minutes to walk, ideal for arriving to the city center in 20 minutes without car, for just over 4€. ground floor room was clean and quiet in the night and bed was comfortable. in winter, however, it could be cold because the window frame was badly equipped (room 105,) which allows both the design and the noise in one dimension. in general, the hotel is a little tired, not helped by its occupancy rate, as many Ukrainian families are now in the residency. the breakfast is only wise about acceptable quality, but nothing special. and the rührei (mix) is grim. from gluten-free perspective there are gf brot available, but it cannot be roasted; there is no gluten-free chalk; and neither the sausages, hash brown or black or white sausages are gf, so options cook up to fruit juice, speck and yukky ei, yogurt, bad quality fresh fruit or bread and jam. so not wonderful, even in comparison to ibis hotels in europa. we must not return for a fifth stay.
