While Istanbul is not bad, there are improvements needed before it can be considered a quality restaurant. The food is decent, portions are generous, and the staff is sufficient. However, the prices are high for what is offered. It is a good option for a quick meal after a night out, but not ideal for a special dinner. The biryanis and dishes are tasty, but have a familiar fast food taste. The restaurant is not claiming to be authentic. Despite its shortcomings, I would likely end up here after a night of drinking at a bar.
I had a buffet dinner at this restaurant. Don't forget to ask about the student offer, it's 9 euros for a filling meal. The buffet counter is self-service, with the only service provided being for the naans. The seating arrangement could be improved as it is very disorganized and scattered. Additionally, there are no tables available for more than 4 people. The food was delicious, especially the chicken gravies, with the green chicken gravy being a favorite. The mutton curry was also tasty. I was pleasantly surprised by the vegetarian dishes, particularly the saag and brinjal sabji, which were splendid. For dessert, there was jelly custard which was also good. Overall, it was a good experience with delicious Indian food that was worth the money.
4 stars for the amazing biryani! Both the taste and quantity was good. Biryani came covered with a thin layer of something like roti- good to eat. Don't expect good ambiance, service, etc. It's more of a take away place but really really tasty biryani! Prices are very nominal too and the quantity was very good. We were able to share a plate of egg biryani between two people.
This restaurant serves one of the most authentic Hyderabadi style biryani. I loved the food here. The coating of thin dough on top of the biryani is what makes it so unique. The quantity was good. Apart from biryani, the naans and the kebabs are worth trying as well. Service can get a little delayed at times with scope of improvement. The seating arrangements are kind of average and the washroom needs to be cleaned. Overall, a good eating experience. Worth a try for all biryani lovers!
