Amazing food and very reasonable. A+ we will be back. Fresh pasta and quality ingredients shines through in the taste. Amazing value highly recommend to all.
We tried Osteria 99 on a whim perhaps because it has a similar name to a favorite restaurant in Palo Alto, California (Osteria Toscana) without the benefit of any reviews, and found out they had only opened days before! Well, I 'll say right now that neither the food nor the service suggests a restaurant so newly opened. Both were excellent. We had the tomato basil soup (the Zuppa di Giorno today) and the Paté della Casa for our appetizers. Both were delicious. My wife had the monkfish and I had the filet mignon (Bistecca di Manzo al Pepe Nero). The filet was very good, with 'hand cut fries ' which were more like the best crispy, golden roast potatoes than chips/fries (a very nice surprise), served resting on a pair of stalks of asparagus. The asparagus was perfect; cooked just right, not over or underdone, and not in the least bit bitter. The peppercorn sauce was also very enjoyable, though it might have been raised up a little further by being cooked down a little more so it would be just a little thicker. Where they outdid themselves was the desserts. With such a wonderful list, we couldn 't decide, so my wife and I chose to split three desserts: The tiramisu, the chocolate mousse, and the Grand Marnier crepe. All three were truly outstanding. Sometimes it really pays to take a leap of faith and try somewhere new. Bravissimo!
