This note comes after my second sumptuous meal in a restaurant I am now prepared to say is one of my favourite spots in Dublin. I imagine returning often, both for casual dining and, most definitely, for special occasions too, because you see, this is a very special place with an atmosphere all its own that is calm, inviting and genuinely friendly... that 's only the start! My dear friends and I ordered quickley, an act efficiently enabled by our charming server Shalini (who must herself merit 5 Stars for her professionalism, as well as for the happiness she exuded, even as she was working so hard... . Then, magically, the food started to be placed on our table with an impeccable grace (again, Thank you Shalini , as we drank deeply of a really fine full bodied French merlot which was remarkably well priced and allowed our happiness only increase. Main courses were expertly spirited into our midst with the now obvious realisation that this restaurant is run with an amazing focus on how to treat its customers right and make us glad: it 's all in the timing (sometimes it is, anyway... . Food was glorious! Between the three of us, in two courses, we partook of fantastically fresh seafood, great chicken and wonderfully succulent lamb. Rice and naan breads were top class (as were the popadoms and relishes that started it all off... . Excellent coffees and the obligatory digestif that followed were all perfect, and perfectly served, too (not to mention the chocolate mints that took our breaths away . Downstairs bathroom facilities are impeccable, by the way, and the manager, Amit by name, is the soul of decency as the whole experience attests (several other servers, not to mention the all important kitchen staff of course, whose names I unfortunately didn 't note, all make up a truly top team at this fabulous restaurant . BRAVO, Kathmandu Kitchen! 5 stars are not enough!
Properly spicy curry without any hassle, pray or fight to get spicy food! Tasted delicious with Pale Ale
It was a good place to eat. Personally, I think it took a while to get our food. The food was ok. I liked the atmosphere it felt pretty fancy. My waitress didn’t seem very welcoming. And anti social but overall I would go there if I was looking for an Indian diner. Also we weren’t warned that we gave our child a spicy dish so not that kid friendly.
Delicious and they can accommodate larger parties in the lower level
