Taverna Marijin Dvorac - Dubrovnik

Beautiful location, quiet place to see the sunset. the food was in order, there was something lacking in taste, but well cooked and decent portions. we were pretty early (1800) and that seemed a little under servant, but more appeared in 1930. the service was somewhat slow, but friendly enough. I wouldn't go back, but eating can be more like me.

The food and service was finally excelent, but the blond open hair lady in the beginnig didint want us to eat outside like a everybody else -1 star). Maybe because of the our sleeping baby... But then ultimatily a male waitress welcomed us a very nicely.

Enjoyed a great pizza from a proper wood fired oven really quiet.

Amazing view of the sunset. Quick and pleasant service. Really good live music. The veggie pizza isnt the best but the grilled vegetables were great!

I would say from our experience it is a very hit and miss experience. Organisation did seem great between the waiting staff. One waiter was running around all over the place keeping really busy whilst others had no urgency and only waited a few tables. Once seated we were given menus and had chosen drinks and food quickly however it must have taken 30 mins for someone to take our order. To receive our order must have taken another 45 mins. We only had a salad and a pasta meal so I think the waiter forgot to put our food order in... We had a small apology and told our food would be 2mins more, waited another 10mins to actually get it. The reason I think this is hit and miss is because we watched other people get seated, ordered and received their meals in good time, even though they were seated after us. We concluded that if you ordered pizza then you received good service, anything other than pizza and you maybe in for a wait. Unfortunately we didn't order pizza! We were not overly impressed with the food either, it was just ok. Conclusion, choose this restaurant if you want a handmade wood fired pizza, stear clear if you're after anything else.
