As for nearby activities, I visited the Maquoketa Caves, which were the reason I came to town from Wisconsin. The caves are free to enter and offer an interesting experience. The hotel also provides free entertainment, which is a nice bonus. Unfortunately, I couldn’t check out the pool area due to the rain. Regarding food and drinks, having an on-site restaurant and bar is convenient. I ordered a budget-friendly pizza to tide me over, and it was perfectly fine.

The atmosphere was pleasant and peaceful. The receptionist was friendly, and the breakfast was quite simple. I had a great time at the bar, where the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place. Rooms: 4/5

The room had an unusual odor, and the decor felt quite outdated. The bathroom featured a noisy and inefficient toilet that was low to the ground, making it difficult for seniors to use without grab bars. Road noise was also noticeable in the room. Additionally, the sidewalks and pavement were uneven and had potholes. While the price was reasonable, it did not meet the quality I expect from a Wyndham property.

Beds were very nice and comfortable. Clean room they had a bar, pool and patio, but it was really loud cuz hwy below . There was a chair n the room really needed to be thrown out, pretty nasty.. overall if your on a budget this hotel worksRooms: 4/5

Nice older hotel. Clean room, cheap, and the ac was super cold. Even better was they have a bar and grill at the hotel, which you dont see too much anymore. The food was fried bar food, but it was very good.Rooms: 5/5
