Feedback gevenIt was once again as far as the precision sports skills demanded a refreshment. Since such an approach in the circle of colleagues is of course implemented with the necessary physical use, the spent resources must also be refilled. For this purpose, the Byblos, located in relative proximity to the competition site, offered itself. How easy to recognize the name is a restaurant of Lebanese orientation Byblos located north of Beirut and in the past was an important port city among changing kleptokraten. Due to the short distance and due to the appointment Tuesday evening, we were even included sheet metal box parking lanxion time before our tireless pedal ride in the restaurant. This part of the forbidden city does not seem lucrative enough to the local household refurbishment shakes, there are many free parking spaces, the restaurant also offers guest parking spaces. The shop is two-part left the spacious restaurant with conservatory, right a Lebanese snack, both seem to be served from the same kitchen. It was not really well visited, except for us about three or four other paying tables during our stay, in the industry often referred to as ‘dead dance’. Accordingly, the motivation of the service employee appeared to be already at −273.15°C and to be quietly different. At our arrival we were greeted with a friendly distance, we were able to pick up a table, very quickly the cards came and to wait for a colleague on our note the waiter moved. The map also available in www offers a wide range of small appetizers, salads, soups, barbecue and Lebanese specialties. It is interesting that the spelling of the individual dishes partly differs greatly from the listing in the menue. Desserts is not found in the map. In the background next to the counter, however, various sweets are directed pyramidally under plexiglas hoods. There was no indication that or how to order it. Just as little as drinks. The rather half-heartedly glowed statement: “Hat gutckt!?” of the service during the respective removal of the plates, we confirmed a little more comprehensive, unfortunately only a pause sign came back. A colleague's request for a piece of sweets, which was presented during the serving of the obligatory tea, was also confirmed, but never implemented. Today at least only non-preventable revenue was generated. Three of us opted for the menu ‘MÄSA BYBLOS EXTRA’ for 24,50 Euronen each, with eleven different starter components and a three-part main course the chips do not count with . As an appetizer, the spicy sheep cheese was ordered to 3,60 Euronen, as it also belongs to the menue, the portion simply fell out slightly larger with garlic i hopefully roasted corns. The Mezze Cold HOMMOS Mild chunked chickpea crème, garlic barely, for this sesame paste tahina noticeable. 3.5* MTABBAL Similar to Hommos, through the other base Auberginen- instead of Kichererbsen-Püree, a little fresher in taste. 3.5* LABNEH A fresh cheese cream again with a little garlic, very refreshing through the mint. 4* WARAK INAB Wine leaves filled with rice, Petrasilie and tomatoes, as well as richly known from other Mediterranean areas, do not interfere. 2.5* TABBOULEH Here and today apparently in the variant without wheat scrap, so actually more a very finely chopped tomato salad. 3* TADJEN In the map as ‘Cutted salmon fillet, boiled with onions, garlic, coriander and tahina’, we did not receive this. There was no indication of why or that the second peel with LABNEH should be a compensation. 0* SANKLISCH After my feeling the best appetizer of the evening, really good tasted sheep cheese with sufficient garlic, very spicy. Even if not, as actually typical, served in a bowl shape with herbal coat. 4.5* Warm FALAFEL Krosss baked chickpeas balls with raw food plate. Well seasoned and delicious together with the cold crèmes. 4* SAMBUSIK BIL-LAHME Also the dough bags filled with oriental spicy lamb chop, very aromatic 4* FATAYER BIL-SABANECH Something boring the dough bags filled with spinach. 3* KIBBEH MIKLIEH Also again spicy the fried beef balls with oriental touch. 3.5* In addition, sour-laid cucumber pieces, pep p eroni, a sharp Ajvar-like puree and fladen bread were added. Thus for the mezze in total good 3* The main foods LAHEM MISCHWI juicy and delicately cooked lamb meat, neatly seasoned, very nice. 4.5* SCHIESCH TAOUK Just as well the chicken, which has been cooked and marinated alternately with paprika pieces on the skewer. 4.5* KAFTA MISCHWIYEH Satisfy grilled and very well tasted the unfortunately somewhat clear lamb chop steak. 4.5* All together in a fladen bread, some salad and ... BATATA MIKLIYEH Obviously homemade, fried potato slices, unfortunately mostly soft rather than chessy and hardly spiced. 2*. SEDR HABASCH The thinly cut, marinated and grilled turkey breast was also juicy, along with the TK vegetables, the same potato slices and some salad set a good choice. 4* Apart from the potato slices, the warm dishes 4* seem to represent the core competence of the kitchen. If the appetizers were somewhat better implemented and more courageously flavored, you could definitely recommend the Byblos in terms of kitchen performance. Perhaps the desserts could have pulled out something, but they were deprived of us, as mentioned at the outset. If the service was certainly sufficient for a snack, there is a huge lack of restaurant. Of course, the Lebanese wines would also have interested me in the whole ‘labour avoidance’ of the service, however, let me distance myself from the relevant questions. With the well-launched colleagues it was still a nice evening.
