Feedback gevenIs exactly right in the bel etage im phoenix. After we had been very satisfied several times in normal phoenix we now tried the bel etage. We had decided for the big menu with 10 courses. We were surprised at the beginning we were positiw, there was I think nine! small appetithappe, there were the disappointments and the kalbsbries my favorite were too! The pulpo with kimshi, for which the sommelier reaches a branded wine from korea, is perfect. For me as a sellerielieber, this gang tasted very good. the sauce a dream. the high point reached the deaf. she came as a breast. in a small valley, the deaf and a consomme were added. so all that the animal gives. The evening was completed with many small tasty. there was even a little bite. Funny.Short to service. he was excellent, not intrusive and also loose. the wee to the menu all fit. here the sommelier has accomplished excellent performances. the weeping were explained so that you also understand what you have in the glass. It is also a pleasure that the chef Herrr hartmann personally asks the guests how you liked it.Everything in all it was a very nice evening. We come back very safely and look forward to the future creations and weeping.
In order to say it in advance: I was not so convinced when studying the menu of the bel étage published in the internet - and should have booked rather in the normal phoenix in the ground floor. while the ambiente is really exceptionally beautiful, there is absolute sobriety at the top.My guidance and I were completely alone on Saturday night (!) and then became from 19 o'clock until midnight of approx. 4 waiters - where the kitchen greetings and the first floor were served quite too fast. We chose 8 courses (there is only a 10 course menue from which you can give up 2 or 4 courses.) for 8 courses you pay - even for star area - fierce 170 eur. for the really good drink-guidance (not nut weine!) about 50 eur are added again. the concept and the claim are clearly designed for at least one michelin star. However, one has not yet got this and so it is not surprising why the days of these trips remained practically empty. The service was good, the sommelier and its selection really great. he also showed himself flexible. But there were also patzers: - a weinglas was insanely dirty (wurde promptly exchanged without apologies-) a weeping gland was not presented to us at all - the fruit fly in a glass happened probably at the table where the local no debt bears all the walks were tasty - but there was nothing that has knocked us around. even if the individual compositions were imaginative - and sometimes tastefully refined - we lacked real excretory ingredients that would have justified the price. Unfortunately, the prime beef short rip also fell away at the 8 floor menue, so that the whole thing was quite nice and seafood-lasting. there were also almost only white wines. The kitchen has oriental or also Moroccan ones - and unfortunately the first courses were somewhat too sweet and sour.Beautiful was the main course (topinambur, gänseleber, stone mushrooms, pigeon breast, black lens curry, sand thorn, eberesche) where also here the lenses were really excellent "al the restaurant. at the end, I simply have the taste - and I was not completely convinced, especially where the level is quite high in düsseldorf. the prices are on the other hand at a 2-star level. But something: for me, a perfect evening at this level is also added to the corresponding comfortable atmosphere. Unfortunately, the chairs with too low armrests are very bad. but above all, the lighting with light spots directly above the chairs must be replaced! they are very disturbing. It is also true that in the already very sterile room the large window front is completely locked with curtains, with the view to the playhouse and the city would be quite beautiful. If I read the much cheaper but clearly interesting sounding 5-speed menus of the normal phoenix in the first shot, I am sure that my next one will go there. you will also get something from the yes praised cash. above all this is missing totally.
The "bel etage" in the restaurant phoenix in the three-panel house is an extension of the restaurants phoenix already opened for some time in the three-panel house in the first etage. surely this special area with its own kitchen team should serve to get a star as soon as possible. I would recommend to bring some kindness with it.Before the dining room is, contrary to the very successful design of the ground, rather a disappointment. you immediately realize that two meeting rooms were placed here before. it is accordingly uncharmant there. In the bel etage you will find up to 20 people square. this is also good in itself, but as a gassing also quickly a feeling of "combination".Leider could also not compensate for the impression of the ambient by the moments of pleasure. the food was good in each course - but for good I don't have to be in the bel etage. also the price/performance ratio is not correct. for the six passages with a wine-guiding were calculated to me € 250.The wine-guiding by the sommelier herrn weis, who also searches the wine-guiding in the ground floor, was excellent! He had not only looked on large label wineries, but also in the niches of the wine landscapes sought competently. The service was also good - even here a good one can not be praised. However, some significant changes are of great advantage - if not absolutely necessary.
