Fuchsjagd Am Quadenhof - Düsseldorf

This restaurant was closed a few years ago. It was called Knillmann. Food is good, but the place is too big and if full you will have to wait more than an hour.

This is the perfect place to go when you're looking for a real German experience. The location is nice, in the center of Gerresheim and near the forest, but well connected to the city center by train (only the U73 and in...25 minutes you are here! . The food is great, with very large portions, and they serve well old beer, the beer from Düsseldorf. Here you will not find many tourists, and while the staff speak many languages you will need some basic German to read the menu!

The restaurant is located in the centre of Gerresheim, from Düsseldorf city centre. The beautiful atmosphere in the restaurant makes it perfect to meet the family or friends to have a dinner together. It's not loud like any other restaurant in Old Town. The average consumer is people older than 40 years. Let's say it's not a teenage place! The dishes they prepare are so delicious and quite large. If you also consider that prices are lower than in the old town, this is a perfect place! The staff is nice and has the sense of humor. You will not get bored, even if you visit it alone. The only thing I didn't like was the cyclist. Radler is a mixture of beer and sparkling lemonade. If you order a cyclist here, you will receive the invoice in which it is written: 2 x 0.2l pils and 1 x 0.2 Sprite, but the content is server in a 0.5L glass : Will definitely come back when I am back in Düsseldorf. p.s. Das war unser zweiter Besuch und alles war tip top und wir werden bestimmt, sofern es das Restaurant bzw. Brauhaus auch in Zukunft noch geben wird, wieder dort einkehren. Das Interieur, der Service, das Essen und das Bier (Füchsen Alt) waren sehr gut! Auch die Vorspeise, bestehend aus einer Etagere mit belegten "Schnittchen" (Mett mit Zwiebeln, Käse und Wurst), waren ein sehr guter und geselliger Einstieg. Auch das Preisleistungsverhältnis war gut und angemessen.Bedauerlich sind jedoch die Querelen mit den benachbarten Anwohnern etc., die, wie wir erfuhren, die Existenz des Brauhauses gefährden! Wir hoffen sehr, dass diese Lokalität auch weiterhin bestehen wird, denn wir würden bei unserem nächsten Düsseldorf-Besuch dort gern wieder einkehren. Wir wünschen dem gesamten Team von der Fuchsjagd alles Gute und das sie auch weiterhin ihren Job so gut machen dürfen, wie wir es genießen durften!!!
