MAREDO Steakhouse - Düsseldorf

The atmosphere has become much cheaper that it was in the past, but that can be for many different reasons... Unfortunately, if this happens and you have a nice and appealing menu, but very low-level service from waiter and reduced salad buffet, then... a nice dinner will be a stop at a fast food chain... Do not let yourself be fooled with names or pictures: just spend your money elsewhere.

I was asked to find my own seat, but there is a sign to ask me to wait patiently at the door. I stood there, wait at least 5 minutes until I was instructed to find my own seat. After I set myself up a few minutes until I got my menu, and after 15 minutes I still have no chance to have someone with my order. The big beard man who walked by me at least 5 times while I showed him I want to make my order and I'm pretty sure he's the server that takes care of my table. It was awfully pierced me, I am not sure whether he discriminates me or any reason, he has requested from other tables, but just ignore mine. So 20 minutes later I moved to another desk, and shortly after that I found another server to help finally order my court. Ordered a steak in medium rare with 2 pages. Finish steak served in medium boiled, and 1 page missing. I was completely disappointed at the time and thought the order was wrong. I asked myself to replace my steak because it was dreadfully dry and how jerky. The replaced steak was cooked better, but the beef quality was still very bad and tasted like the clearance products in the grocery store. After all, I got the bill that sent me two pages, and the sever tell me quickly, yes, we don't have this page, so we didn't give you. How ridiculous is it? You didn't tell me when you brought this over? You didn't correct the bill? While you know it!!!

Six of us visited here at our first visit to Düsseldorf. We were all hungry and this place looked good and not too busy we should have realized). They showed us to a table after ten minutes that our drink order was taken and then... the food. The waiter was not helpful and impatient and seemed angry that we did not speak German. Ten minutes later he came back to say that the starter we had ordered was not available. 40 minutes later, some of our alternative starters and drinks came together. We all ate that when we were hungry and then the other starter arrived! The main course soon arrived, but the plates and dishes from the starters were not removed. He wasn't worried about it and threw down the plates with such contempt when we were the guilty, not to delete our own plates!! One of our parties had Fajitas, the packs were like cardboard, but trying to get our waiter back was an impossible task and she had to eat what she could! The rest of the food was okay, but nothing extraordinary. The reason I write this review is that I have never been treated with such contempt in a European restaurant. The waiter was horrific! We complained to the manager who did nothing, after all he knocked some money from our bill, but when we left the waiter, he laughed behind our back. Do not visit this restaurant while you were warned in Düsseldorf!

Me and my family went there for dinner I had the rib-eye steak which was amazing my we also ordered a rissoto and kids chicken nuggets. The rissoto was undercooked, and they forgot about the chicken nuggets so we had to wait for about 20...minutes. Overall the service was bad.

An excellent steak with great sides set out in a relaxed and laid back environment. The steak was very tender and juicy while the jacket potato was a good size. The corn on the cob was also very flavoursome.
