Rex - Duluth

We came for the Duluth Festival and ordered beer in a plastic cup for $6. Unfortunately, the sound system was terrible when the bands played on stage. The atmosphere in the cellar was dark, dry, and musty. However, the bartenders and staff were great - very friendly and helpful.

I love that they are dog-friendly here and the bartenders are extremely friendly.

I used to love coming to The Rex ever since I turned 21, but I have had a negative experience recently. The owners hired their own son, who has refused to serve drinks to me and my friends multiple times. After allowing us to have one drink, he instructed the other staff not to serve us any more drinks.

I used to love coming to the rex ever since I turned 21, but ever since the owners hired their son, he has been refusing to serve drinks to me and my friends multiple times when we enter the restaurant. Sometimes he will serve us one drink, but then he instructs the other employees not to serve us anymore.

During my visit, the bartenders at this restaurant did not seem concerned about patrons wearing facemasks in the bar. My friend and I were the only ones wearing them. I do not plan on returning here during the pandemic as it appears the establishment does not prioritize the safety of its customers regarding COVID-19.
