Pumpernickel Coffee Shop - Dumfries

During our brief visit to the area, my wife and I stumbled upon this restaurant. We were delighted to try the best scones we've ever had, served fresh and piping hot. The food and service both received a rating of 5, while the atmosphere was a solid 4. Overall, a lovely experience.

The restaurant offers excellent vegan dishes at a great price. The satay tofu with noodles was delicious, and they also have a wide selection of vegan cakes. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere all scored a perfect 5.

We stopped by for lunch today based on a recommendation from the Scottish country dance community. The owner even recognized us from a previous visit to one of his other venues. The lunch was delicious, with my husband enjoying a fruit scone and latte, and myself opting for a cheese and tomato panini. Both were very tasty. We would definitely recommend this place. The service was great for dining in.

So happy to find this little place while on holiday. We popped in for coffee cakes we were pleasantly surprised. The gentleman waiting on us was polite and helpful. Everything on the menu was vegetarian with many things able to be made vegan. The cakes were delicious we've recommended pumpernickel to all our veggie vegan friends family if they're in Dumfries.
