Feedback gevenHawg Street is one of the best things this little town has for it. The food is absolutely extraordinary, both the pig and the beef BBQ. The pages are also amazing. Your baked beans are worth a percentage of my soul at this point. For the portions and services you receive, the price *very* is reasonable and honest is the only drawback that I wish I had enough appetite to eat it every day, and that is not really a disadvantage! As soon as you start, you'll regret it every couple of weeks. It's the best BBQ I ever had personally.
Good HEAVENS, this is a good grill!!! Got the barbecue sampler as take-out; had my mouth water all the way home. Good things to hear in this place, and the food didn't disappoint a bit. I'm not a wing fan, but you, oh man, their wings made my tastes SING with joy! Ditto the brisket, pulled pig and the ribs, and the sides were not only supporting actors - they earn the same bill with the meat. The sampler shares are generous enough to make four meals for one person, so I don't have to cook this weekend! I think this will be my regular Friday night stop on the way home from work...
Hey, I'm a kayak fisherman who works the Susky a lot in this area. Always looking for something good beyond the usual gas station farewell. In the last few years, I have the smoker chefs and the pig suitable person to me in. I cook / smoke my own Q and am quite proud of my work. I don't usually buy Q because I know I could be disappointed. Same as real italains that make their own pasta and regional dishes an American Italian restaurant. That said I didn't have a bride, and it wasn't on the menu. The baby backs were there, so they tried. Nice pink smoke ring. I know this doesn't add any taste. It is nice to see because this usually means that the meat was cooked or smoked with wood until it reached about 140 degrees. Such a deep red ring on the ribs. The bone train was very nice. No one who loves Q wants to drop the bone that is too wet and proposes a crutch. So good pull/boys feel to them. Not served with sauce I hate. I prefer dry ribs with sauce on the side, so I can taste the rub and the cook. The ribs had a glaze on them, sauces were on the side. Even a bottle of broken paprika in vinegar (probably intended for the bean side) had to tell you about the cook. The ribs were very good, the beans were very good, beans only a little too sweet, but the sweetness of maple syrup was not the typical farewell so good for me. The claw was just a little wet, but excellent. Other things on the menu pulled pork, wings, chicken, etc. will try next time. Place was full, it was a Sunday. The help really, who interested, they take your order and money. It was just good IMHO. The grasses much cleaner than ordinary joint. The toilets were very clean. Great corner connection and good discovery that I will visit again. So now at the time of my review the help, place, service, toilets, seating and even the low key ambience with SPORTS on TV, puzzles for the children. Tables outside all very well in an area that has slim pickings. If you like Q, check this place if not on the road for the usual fare.
Road Hawg's hands down is the best BBQ I've ever had. My husband is south; he said this is the best grill he had this side of the Mason Dixon. The bride is dying for... I repeat... to die! It is so tasteful tender and in my opinion does not even need any sauce. The sauces are good, but also the freshly cut frits, beans mac n cheese. The beans have pulled pork in them and the Mac n cheese has a kind of smoky taste to it. Prices are pretty good, especially considering what you get. The staff is very friendly I love all the Steelers stuff in the restaurant. If you are in town (or go through) and looking for a big BBQ, you will stop HAVE at Road Hawgs... You won't regret it!
I had the ribs and fries, which were fantastic. The Beef brisket and bbq pork also looks and smells wonderful, I will be trying those next. Be advised that the location Google Maps shows is incorrect. It is actually just past the highway overpass, practically underneath it.
