First of all staff were friendly and the coffee was great. I ordered a Fresh Veggie but was really annoyed when I discovered it was a frozen veggie pizza. It was so bad I couldn't eat it. Please dont advertise it as Fresh if it is frozen, there is a massive difference for vegetarians. The rest of the food orders were great. Goats cheese and Beetroot (or something like that) got an A from my partner, and the Pepporoni and Marguerite Pizza even though also frozen were actually delicous. They do a great deal of two pizzas with two bottles of water or 2 cans of Pelligrino for €20.
We were on a trip around several of the lovely west Clare villages Spanish Point, Miltown Malbay and Quilty (gorgeous, go into the church and out to the beaches). Looking for a spot of lunch, we spotted this cafe in Doonbeg a great find. It's really small, we were lucky to get a table. It's cool inside, like an old Irish cottage. The food was delicious, just simple fare like taosted sandwiches, rolls, panini etc. but hearty and tasty. Lovely service too. Thanks girls!
Fantastic home made cakes and breads. A pleasant place to while away an hour while drinking tea/coffee and eating home made cakes, soup and sandwiches. Owners very friendly and service spot on.
Cosy restaurant with well presented food. The girls working there would need to be taught how to greet customers properly as in ' good morning , etc as is the norm in the English speaking world. Attempts at conversation would need to be answered with more that a very indifferent yeah .
