With my brother in from Florida we decided to try Costas which I had heard was good for crabs. It turned out to be a great choice…..as I had reserved 1 1/2 dozen of the biggest crabs they had. Perfect seasoning and waitress was in the kitchen as they came out of the steamer. My daughter had the crab cake sandwich which she loved and we started with the clams casino which was also very good. Service was great and the atmosphere allowed casual conversation without having to yell above the noise. Enjoyable evening for all…we’ll be back

We like basic, well-cooked food. No squid ink linguini for us! Costa's has friendly service and a come-as-you-are environment. Excellent downhome food. Great seafood and sides, but also basics like meatloaf and pork chops. The crab imperial was luscious and full of large, plump pieces of crab. Sides like baked potatoes, mushrooms, mac and cheese were hearty portions and very reasonably priced. Lots of serving staff. The steak was tender.

We had not visited here in many years, but decided to drive some distance because we wanted some of their seafood. Two in our part had the crabcake sandwiches, which they said were very good, with a decent amount of crab. These were served with nicely prepared french fries. I had a bowl of cream of crab soup and onion rings, because I am a big fan of both of those when they are prepared correctly. The onion rings no better than average (at best), with lots of breading and relatively thin rings of onion, not worth ordering again. The cream of crab soup was quite poor, especially for a restaurant specializing in seafood. The consistency was very thick and not like soup at all, but more like congealed gravy. I 'm not sure what thickener had been added, but it seriously detracted from the quality. In addition, the soup was no more than lukewarm, as if it had been dished up long before the other items were prepared. Very disappointing! On the other hand, the service was quite good for a busy evening.

Taste tested the Maryland Crab Soup, the Cream of Crab and Ham and Bean soup, all three were delicious! Took a quart of cream of crab home and my family was in love! Ordered 1/2 dozen medium crabs and they were served piping hot, loved the seasoning. Would highly recommend to others. Server was informing, knowledgeable and very friendly. I will, no doubt, be back! Thank you.
