Mordentes Fish And Chips - Dundee City

This is the best fish and chips in Dundee, hands down. I've tried others, but nothing compares. It's definitely worth every penny and I wouldn't bother eating anywhere else. The quality is so good that it's worth the trip.

Arbroath Road Chippy is a favorite spot for my boyfriend and me to get fish and chips. This was not our first visit, and it certainly won't be our last. I ordered the jumbo haddock with mushy peas, while my boyfriend got a steak pie with chips and onion rings. The onion rings were fantastic and disappeared quickly. My fish was perfectly cooked, with crispy batter and tender flesh. The mushy peas were just right. My boyfriend enjoyed his steak pie, with juicy meat and rich gravy. The only complaint we had was that the pie could have used its own separate plate. Overall, the service and food were excellent. We give it a perfect 10! Unfortunately, we didn't take any photos of our meal.

The small fish dish was actually quite large, with freshly cooked and delicious flaky white fish in a crispy golden batter. The shop was clean and tidy, with friendly service.

The staff is so friendly and very professional eating is fantastic.

Parents and I had Jumbo Haddock suppers tonight. Parents shared theirs. Fish melted in the mouth and was completely boneless, as advertised. I've had fish from many chip shops in my years, but Mordente's is the best I and my parents have had in a while. Well worth the money, and handily placed to catch a lot of passing trade.
