Function prices for soft drinks, never mind alcoholic drinks is rather strap. I had to pay over £8 for two j20s a SMALL bottle of coke. I'd have expected a larger coke bottle, too.
I went here in August, I used a Groupon voucher as I read previous reviews before purchasing the voucher which were good. When I arrived with my partner, the staff were friendly and atmosphere was nice. When the food came it wasn't the best. The soup was vegetable but was brown with little cauliflower heads floating in it, it didn't taste of anything and was somewhat disturbing. Our panini was sweet chilli chicken. The chicken was pale looking and cold inside. I wasn't willing to risk trying it. I ate the corn chips and coleslaw that came with it. I'm only writing this review in the hopes that someone else will see it before wasting their money. Trust me a trip to Gregg's for a coffee and a pie is far better than going here for something to eat :
£2,50 for every drink! You can't go wrong. the food was nice and the staff was friendly. it was a little shocked to find the prices were different in the functional room, but they don't pay for the use, so I can understand why.
Agreed. A couple of years ago it was pretty dire. Since then, I have been back a good few times and I have seen it improve so much with the new owners. It might be worth while giving it another go especially as Christmas approaches. The food is much better and the place is more comfortable. I like it.
