It's always my first stop for dinner when I'm in Dunedin. The curries are amazingly boldly flavored and actually original. The staff is very friendly, service is fast, and the atmosphere is welcoming whether you are a student, business traveler or a family with teenagers.
I was here twice and both times the service and food quality was consistently good. Not oily and a good amount of heat for me in the hot beef. I can't remember what the naan is called, but it had coconut and sulfanas in it and it was the best I had in Dunedin so far. I mean, we left a smile on our face. I'd just recommend they filled our water crust. Sure, we could have asked. But if they did, they would get 5 stars from me.
This Indian restaurant during our vacation in Dunedin. The restaurant was ok and the staff was very friendly. The food was delicious and will definitely recommend the food if you are looking for an Indian restaurant with good food. Two stars excreted in the review because the opening time indicated at the door was incompatible with reality. You never know when the restaurant will be open and until the owner can decide in the last minute that he will close the restaurant earlier if there are only a few customers around. The glasses were partially chipped, but were still used for services.
Unfortunately they gave me plain wheat roti rather than the Tandoori Parantha I ordered and payed for. Also, the meat in the goat curry is dominated by fat and bone. However, that's what goat meat is like... and the sauce the goat resides in is awesome, plus they were super cool about me wanting my takeaway in my own container. I will go back. I do recommend eating here.
