Consistently high-quality bar food that's a cut above the rest. They offer a great selection of drinks and the service is outstanding. You definitely get your money's worth here. Having grown up in Dunellen, I can confidently say this is the best dining option in town. It will be my go-to place every time I visit. This is a genuine local establishment that truly supports the community. Be sure to try the open-faced pastrami Reuben, the Canuck sandwich, the three-onion soup, or the chicken Caesar wrap.

The positives: I was able to get a seat at the bar right away on a Friday night. The atmosphere was lively, with plenty of people enjoying themselves and the Rangers game on TV. The service was friendly, too. On the downside: The spinach salad we usually order was less than half its normal size, which took us both by surprise. I initially thought we may have ordered the wrong dish, but that wasn’t the case. My burger was quite disappointing—it was overcooked, the cheese wasn’t even melted, and the bread was stale. When the bartender asked how my meal was, I mentioned that the burger was overcooked. His response was a bit snarky, saying, “Well, you ate it.” This left me puzzled—why ask for feedback if you don’t really want to know? Eventually, he poured me another beer, which I hadn’t requested nor wanted since I was driving and had planned on just having one. I thought it might be a complimentary gesture due to my earlier feedback, but to my surprise, I was charged for it.

Dive-y local spot but the food is pretty decent, albeit slightly above a more appropriate price point.

My husband and I have been going here for years and it's one of the best places to eat around central jersey. Everyone is so friendly and the food is amazing. Always have great service!

I always enjoy the food at Dunellen Hotel . I really enjoy the triple onion soup the lobster Ruben and the pastrami sandwich just a few of my favorites. I also had the meatloaf and many other things off the menu that was great.
