We popped in for a coffee on our first day in Crosshaven and enjoyed two lunches there in our three days stay. Our cousin who knows it well says that she used to have breakfast there when she brought her daughter to Crosshaven for work.
Lovely atmosphere and staff with excellent professional service. A little gem! Very generous portions with a very good hollandaise dressing.
We ate here six times in 10 days for breakfast, inside and out. Great location and service. Quality of food was consistently good. Variants to the menus accepted readily. Sometimes the delivered meal was not as advertised on the menu e.g. once no mushrooms nor tomato with my small Irish.
Slow. If it takes you 45mins to serve breakfast I'd suggest consideration on reducing the amount of tables you have outside. In fairness it's very busy but service is just too slow....all the time.
For me there are too many options on the menu and almost everything contains peppers which I can’t stand. However, the biggest problem for me was the mediocre food. The wrap I ordered was nice but nothing special. The salad that came with it was laughable. It came with the tiniest little bowl of cous-cous I have ever seen in my life . In comparison to other restaurants in the area such as Perry Street or The Pavilion, this cafe needs to up its game in the food-stakes. With an amazing location it is such a pity that the food is so disappointing.
