Feedback gevenThe soaked application was found twice without alcohol. the shrimp appetizer was described as 16-20 grilled garnels over austerity (for $20 approx.). what appeared was 6 garnel over green beans for the same price! I ordered a baked potato as a side instead of pommes. it has never arrived. After we had asked the waitress twice if we should forget? they didn't make it. the food we received was decent, but not worth the price or the aggravation.
Service was extremely poor. with only 3 other tables filled at 8 o'clock, we had to wait for cocktails for 40 minutes. we had to ask for bread and water. I ordered a bottle of red wine (stags leap) and the waitress tried to open a white. in the 1 hour, 20 minutes mark, were served only 2 out of 4 appetizers (my wife wanted to go out - it was bad). an appetizer was never served. all meals were served after 1 hour, 40 minutes on arrival. I admit that 2 carvings were very good, other meals sufficient. the chef seemed more to worry about talking to a German couple behind us than understanding the slow service. manager was nowhere in sight. other tables complained too. there are too many good restaurants on the hi to experience this type of frustration.
This is a truly wonderful restaurant on the island. The fresh fish is fantastic and the apple strudel is to die for. The pricing is consistent with other restaurants on the island and the high quality make it a great value. I recommend the interior dining. The space is very nice. We had very good service from the attentive staff and it was a treat to meet the chef/owner Josef.
Food was pretty good, not the best we’ve had on the island. Service is very slow.
Everything about our evening here was great! The service, the food, the presentation and of course the view. There is a very popular bar just across the walkway, but you can't hear the noise in the restaurant, so you're meal is not disturbed.
