Great local gem! Great drinks menu would love to eat here soon.
Good pub grub, pizza was very nice, green salad crisp and Duck Confit moist and succulent.
The building looks a bit tired a nice welcome when we arrived though.Great selection of beer if a bit on the pricy side. Our food arrived after a reasonable wait looked really good. My wife had ordered the gnocchi, good size portion with good flavors though the cauliflower on it was blanched but cold which seemed a little strange.I ordered the burger, for the price perhaps a little small but looked nice. The burger was nicely cooked in a nice warm bun with good seasoning, sauces, cheese and pickles. The chips that came with it were completely cold. All round not a bad place I just think it needs a bit more attention to detail a clean up and a bit of redecorating inside would help.
Had a late tea on a Friday evening. Place was quite busy and a liquid refreshment went down quite well. Ordered the Beef Cheeks, Duck, and Gnocci. All three were quite surprisingly a high standard. The beef cheeks could have done with a little more liquid base, but a rather unusual way of serving in bread crumb rissoles but still hit the mark. Duck was nice and succulent, and the Gnocci of a high homemade standard. The atmosphere was great with a good crowd present . Must say turned out to be a good night out and would definetly go again
