Kung Thai (temp Home Pick-up) - Durban

Kung Thai consistently impresses! Although the restaurant in Durban North is currently closed and only offering takeaways, they continue to uphold their high standards. With fresh ingredients, authentic flavors, and generous portions, you'll definitely want more. I can't wait for the new restaurant to open! They also have locations at the northern coast and in Morningside, so be sure to check them out.

This was an incredible and authentic experience! The food is just as good as what you'd find in Thailand. The manager is very helpful and accommodating, and we even tried dishes that weren’t exactly on the menu. Everything was amazing, and the "small" dessert is simply indescribable. You absolutely have to go and try it for yourself; it's great to share with someone!

Fresh and tasteful food with a beautiful mix of textures. Flavours are well developed. When it says garlic expect to notice it. If Chili says, be ready. Most meals have the opportunity to choose the protein, the starch and the sauce so creatively. My personal favorite was the Kung Thai Sauce. Let's face him named after the place, it must be good. Mildly Chili but I also enjoyed the Bun Mee sauce before the extreme chili is. The staff is friendly and attentive. The lady who served us was very good for us, a friend came late, in the middle of our meals, the waitress took her order immediately and also rushed it in the kitchen without us asking, within 10 minutes we all our meals together. There is a fair amount of vegetarian dishes on the menu. I cost some of my friends food and found both days orders to be quite pleasant. The food prices are somewhat steep, expect about R250 per adult including some drinks. Both times I ate here, I didn't care to pay because I was so happy with the food. Portion sizes are also good. I wish I had taken pictures of my food before we start eating. Below is a photo of dessert that we shared.

The crab and prawn dumplings were exceptional, and the flavor of my prawn wok was truly amazing. It's a must-try for anyone who loves Thai flavors in Durban North!
